The fictional documentary film produced by artist Azadeh Fatehrad explores the shared human experiences of migration, homemaking, and integration. This 40-minute film reflects on a series of participatory aesthetic workshops conducted in Sweden, the UK, and Denmark from 2020 to 2024, in partnership with NGOs and facilitators. Generously supported by NordForsk, the film is a collaboration between Azadeh Fatehrad and the Baltic Art Center Visby, Compass Collective, ActionAid Denmark, alongside Kingston University, Lund University in Sweden and Roskilde University in Denmark. ©AzadehFatehrad.

I’m excited to announce that my recent film, “Home Away From Home,” is now available for viewing.  This 40-minute, single-channel fiction documentary was produced in collaboration with migrants from Syria, Ukraine, Iran, Afghanistan, and many other countries. The project was made possible with the generous support of Compass Collect and the Baltic Art Centre in Visby, Sweden.

Thank you to everyone involved in bringing this story to life!
